Screening tool to measure the amount of entrepreneurial spirit within education and training activities

The Entrepreneurial Magnifying Glass is a screening instrument that permits measuring the extent to which a project organized within an educational context stimulates entrepreneurial spirit and to what extent it this is achieved.  It is a self-evaluation tool, aiming at raising awareness.

Teachers from all education levels (from kindergarten to Higher Education) and training organisations; and those with a responsibility for education and training, including pedagogical supervisors, educators, and coaches in specific courses.

Approach: an online webtest on the Competento.be website: linear approach 1 a short introduction to the test. 2 identification user. 3 25 statements to respond to on a score of 1 to 7. 4 a global final score. 5 separate scores on creativity, courageousness, sense of responsibility, flexibility, perseverance. 6 concrete suggestions + print page. 7 evaluation of this test.

In 2009 SYNTRA Flanders had the financial resources and the opportunity to develop The Entrepreneurial Magnifying Glass screening tool. This online test is based on the profile of entrepreneurial spirit, as developed by SYNTRA Flanders and other partners (including ECEGO) in the framework of an EQUAL-project “STEP”. Starting with this profile and some instruments and tests, based on the profile, SYNTRA Flanders developed this new instrument and organised a validation survey.
